•           As part of the Green Overseas Programme, a call for tenders has been launched to support the government of Aruba in the transition to a cleaner, more sustainable vehicle fleet. This project is part of the actions of the Green Overseas Expertise Network, which mobilizes expertise in support of the ecological transition of overseas territories.

              Project objective

              Reduce carbon emissions from public transport and cut fuel costs by developing a complete transition plan to an electric government fleet, supported by technical, financial and environmental analyses.

              The contract comprises four main components:

    • An electric vehicle tracking pilot to collect real data and inform policy decisions;

    • A strategic transition plan for the gradual replacement of combustion-powered vehicles with EVs;

    • A plan for managing batteries at end-of-life, to guarantee environmental sustainability;

    • A cost-benefit and emissions analysis, to support evidence-based policy choices.

              Participation methods

              The deadline for submission of bids is set for June 10, 2025 at 10am (Paris time).
    The tender is open under the dynamic purchasing system 22-SAD-S002-GO. Only registered members of the Green Overseas Expertise Network can access market documents and submit a bid via the PLACE platform.
