•           On islands like Aruba, the transition to eco-mobility is essential to minimize environmental impact and ensure long-term sustainable development. The facility deployed in March 2024 includes the adoption of electric vehicles, the development of efficient public transport networks, the provision of pedestrian and cycling infrastructure, and the use of renewable energy to power these systems, with the aim of eco-mobility that builds resilience in local communities.

  •           The objective of this GO facility is to accelerate the reduction of transport-related carbon emissions as well as the reduction of fuel costs of the Aruban government's vehicle fleet in the fastest and most cost-effective way possible, in order to enable the Aruban government to become a model of sustainable mobility and environmental management

    .

  •           This facility provides for a pilot project within two departments (an administrative unit and a public works unit) in order to gain experience of the performance of electric vehicles, the data from which will be used for a total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis, enabling the savings expected under the transition plan to be accurately estimated.
