The Green Overseas Program at the COP: giving a voice to island territories

The Green Overseas Program will be taking part in several exchanges and meetings during the COP, alongside OCT representatives and technical and regional partners. These interventions will enable sharing concrete feedback from the territories, strengthening cooperation between islands and highlighting local adaptation priorities.

Mobilizing young islanders
This session will give the floor to young representatives from the territories, in order to highlight their role in local climate action and encourage their participation in decision-making spaces.

Climate resilience and planning for island territories
Exchanges on adaptation solutions linked to spatial planning, infrastructure, housing and water resources, in order to limit the risks of forced climate mobility.

Financing adaptation and protecting livelihoods
Discussion around financial mechanisms adapted to island realities, to support adaptation projects that are sustainable over time.
