Workshop in Wallis and Futuna at the heart of local news

The Green Overseas Program was recently highlighted by Wallis & Futuna La 1ère through an article entitled "À Wallis-et-Futuna, l'énergie du futur s'invente sur une île", published on October 21, 2025, as well as a report broadcast in the television news of October 23, 2025.

These two productions highlight the collective dynamic carried by the program: four days of technical exchanges and regional cooperation to imagine a more sustainable, self-sufficient energy model for the Pacific islands.
Invited on the set, Ahab Downer, Director of the Green Overseas Program, spoke about the prospects for cooperation between island territories and the actions taken to support the energy transition and climate resilience in the Overseas Countries and Territories.
